Position Title: Marketing and Analytics Intern

Position Overview:
The intern works with the Director of Growth to develop and execute marketing and analytics initiatives on behalf of
Beta Health's brand, Alpha Dental Plan.
This position will primarily be remote with some office time required in the Beta office located at 6465 Greenwood Plaza
Blvd #900, Centennial, CO 80111.
Dates of employment: 6/24/2024 - 9/2/2024
Hours: 40 hours / week
Compensation: $25 / hour

space. Alpha Dental Plan is the consumer facing brand owned by Beta Health Association, Inc. Alpha offers a non-

Key Responsibilities:
While Beta has a long history, recent changes in ownership have spurred an increased focus on growth. Backed by
significant investment in technology and marketing over the last year, Beta currently operates like a startup- fast and
evolving. While a strategic growth plan for 2024 has been defined, we will remain agile and take advantage of
opportunities as they present themselves. Given that, the project(s) for the summer internship is not currently defined.
Candidates will interact with senior leadership regularly and can expect a meaningful, hands-on experience that will be
designed with all intention to provide a strong resume-builder. Some of the activities candidates can expect to
undertake could be one or more of the following:

CRM (HubSpot) design and implementation- Working cross functionally and with leadership, build and
implement a plan for effective enterprise use of HubSpot. This includes, but is not limited to, refining data
source integrations, designing automation, developing reporting, and becoming the SME on knowledge base and
chat functionalities.

Paid digital management- Own and execute the paid digital strategic implementation including SEM, social, and
display. Expected continuous improvement of key metrics - traffic, engagement, and conversion - against a
defined budget. Develop and refine content as needed. Report performance to leadership.

Owned social management- Own and execute owned social channels plan. Sync with larger marketing strategic
plan to develop content.

Beta is in the process of building a data warehouse and implementing a reporting/analytics tool. This represents
an opportunity for the intern to have hands-on experience in building, implementing, and testing.
Competencies:
This position handles highly sensitive and confidential information related to business strategy, and the ability to
maintain confidentiality is vital. Other skills include quantitative analysis, decision making, time management, research,
organizational skills as well as strong communication and interpersonal abilities. The intern needs to be a self-starter and
curious, with the ability to anticipate needs, determine priorities, and work independently. Additional competencies
include:
- Familiarity with CRM applications
- Familiarity with SEM and social platforms
- Comfortable with conducting data analysis
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in business or a quantitative discipline.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Prior work experience would be helpful.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable communicating with/presenting to executives.
